This week we had the great news that three papers have been accepted at the International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) and the Expert Systems with Applications (ESWA) journal.

The first paper is a byproduct of Cristiano Garcia Ph.D. project in which new sampling algorithms are proposed for fine-tuning SentenceBERT models in textual data streams.

GARCIA, C. M. ; KOERICH, A. L. ; BRITTO JR., A. S. ; BARDDAL, JEAN PAUL. Improving Sampling Methods for Fine-tuning SentenceBERT in Text Streams. In: International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), 2024, Kolkata.

The second paper if a collaboration targetting catastrophic forgetting in Facial Expression Recognition.

Finally, the third is also a byproduct of Cristiano’s doctorate project in which graph algoritms are used for a temporal analysis of drifting hashtags in textual data streams.
